The District is underway with constructing a new 370,000-gallon concrete Ground Storage Tank No. 2 to replace the original Ground Storage Tank No. 1 that was constructed in 1972. The new Ground Storage Tank No. 2 will store the District’s water supply for many years to come. The new concrete tank is designed with more longevity and less maintenance costs as compared to the original ground storage tank that was made with welded steel.
Engineering for the project is provided by the District’s Engineer, Quiddity Engineering, Inc., with construction performed by DN Tanks, LLC. The project is jointly funded through a partnership between the District and Harris County Housing and Community Development.
