History

Pine Village Public Utility District, (“the District”) a political subdivision of the State of Texas, was created in 1967 by a special act of the Texas Legislature (now codified as Article 9280 – 5239, Vernon’s Texas Civil Statutes) and operates pursuant to Chapters 49 and 54 of the Texas Water Code, as amended. The District is located in Harris County approximately 13 miles north-northeast of the central business district of the City of Houston. The District is bounded on the west by IH 59, on the east by Homestead Road, on the south generally by Aldine Mail Route and on the north by Hamill Road. Access to the downtown business are of Houston is provided via IH 59.
